Watercolor Rural Sketch

One of my earliest attempts at watercolor painting, this is a classic rural house of India. I have tried my level best to display the game of light and shadows. I have placed emphasis on the patched walls, the shadow of the roof on the upper part of the  wall and the shadow on the lower part of the house using a darker shade of each color. The fine detailing of the tapered walls and the windows make it an intriguing  piece of art.
